Boardwalk and Outdoor Classroom – Can you help?

You know that muddy path on the slope below the amphitheater? Mr Fletcher and our children have a vision to build a boardwalk with an outdoor classroom area to study Wolf River ecology.
They need your support to make it happen. Spring is coming and they are eager to get started.
What’s been done so far?
  • Askew Nixon Ferguson Architects designed the boardwalk pro bono
  • Burr & Cole donated engineering work
  • Harbor Town gave MMS permission to build
What’s next?
  • Our kids will raise the first $1,000 needed to prep the site and start buying materials. Using the crowdfunding platform ioby (in our backyards), the MMS Wolf River Boardwalk was awarded a $500 Green Schools project match. This means we only have to raise $500 to receive $1,000!
  • Our kids will collect your donations at drop-off and pick-up on Thursday, February 26Or you can help with this “soft launch” now by donating online: https://www.ioby.org/project/mms-wolf-river-harbor-boardwalk-prebuild. $25 = one concrete footing – and we need 48 of them! Help our kids get on solid ground by donating $25.
  • Our kids will ask for your support again later this spring to raise the remaining $5,500 needed for materials.
  • You’ll get to help fund and build a boardwalk that will serve MMS kids for years to come!
