Life at Maria Montessori School takes place in much the same way it takes place in any community—students work, play, eat, rest and interact with each other. And like any other community, daily life at MMS includes more than work.

There is an emphasis on practical life, with attention to care for one’s self and for the school facilities and materials. Time is spent in nature and out of doors and elementary and middle school children can spend time in our library. Birthdays are celebrated and time is set aside for various artistic pursuits.
