Beginning at 18 months, children join the Toddler Community where basic motor coordination, independence and language development are fostered while respecting individual personalities.
This is a nurturing social community where young children experience their first contact with other children and learn to participate and cooperate in groups. Divided into five main areas – practical life, language, art and creative expression, hand-eye coordination and large movement – children in this community learn to care for themselves, for the classroom and for each other in an environment that supports purposeful movement and the ability to function independently and constructively. The environment supports these areas with grace and courtesy, freedom and limits along with dynamic, direct conversation.
