19th Annual Maria Montessori Regatta

The Regatta is back. Each Spring we celebrate our school and our community with the Maria Montessori School Regatta. The Regatta is our Spring fundraiser which helps provide scholarships and extra funding for our small non-profit school. As you can imagine this fundraising is more important than ever to help families afford this incredible education and to maintain a clean and safe environment for our children and staff.

Introducing the Duck Float Parade

Our beloved pond has been undergoing so repairs so we will be skipping the Wacky Boat Race. I know we are dissapointed too. So instead, we have decided to have a Duck Float competition and Parade.

Just like the wacky boat race, we will provide cardboard and duck tape. You bring the wagon, scooter, skateboard or whatever thing you want to turn into a float and decorate it. Our suggestion is Duck themed but anything Regatta in flavor is welcome.

You will have 1 hour to build the float and we will then parade them through Harbor Town square. We will have trophies for some of the more creative designs. We cannot wait to see what you come up with.

10:00 Children’s games open, food, kayaking in the pond, etc.

This race happens in the middle of the Wacky Boat Races. We take about 500 ducks, throw them from a balcony and “race” them across the pond.
