Maria Montessori School is extremely fortunate to have such involved alumni! Each month, we’d like to spotlight one of our alumni – and this month is Emily Farris.
Emily Farris graduated from Maria Montessori School in 2007. After completing high school, she went on to
college where she received a bachelor’s degree in French and communications.
However, Emily’s Montessori journey was far from finished – she recently began teaching at another
Montessori school in Memphis. She’s happy to be back in an environment she’s so familiar with and supports.
When asked about her experience at Maria Montessori School, she said, “I believe I am who I am because of
MMS. I love the Montessori method and how it nurtures the students and shows them that they can be the best
version of themselves. It allows you to be yourself and to also respect and value others that are different from
you. MMS taught me everything I need to know. It showed me how to live and love everyone around me. I will
always hold MMS in my heart and be grateful for my Montessori education.”
